Our Approach

Message

As you may be aware, being a voluntary non-governmental organization, Shiksha Bharti had made its appearance in the social development sector way back in the year 2001. It was purely driven by the passion to serve the poor and deprived sections of the society both in urban and rural areas with special focus on women and children.

The organization has been working in many districts in the State Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. It has developed good rapport with the local community and collaboration with many state/central government departs and other agencies. The organization enjoys goodwill and reputation among the community and having good presence at the local level. A large number of volunteers and project staff are working in the field. In this direction the agency has taken up various developmental programmes for providing income generation activities, handicraft development cluster development, skill and capacity-building trainings, and activities to develop education, agriculture, women empowerment and health. It is a matter of credit for the organization that its activities through various programmes have reached more than five lakh people directly particularly of the weaker sections of the rural and urban areas and made commendable changes in their living conditions. This has been made possible by the community-led development programmes and networking of NGOs working in the related areas by the organization.
All these sectors have been receiving developmental efforts from our organization and our contribution in each sector has been largely dependent on the financial support that we have been receiving from grantee organizations, various departments of both Central and State Governments and well-wishers. On behalf of the organization, I offer my deep appreciation and thanks to the donors and well-wishers for making our achievements possible. I also offer my appreciation and thanks to the project staff and volunteers of the organization who displayed unflinching discipline and dedication in implementing the programmes, as also the members, consultants who made invaluable contributions in many forms. I appeal to them all to kindly continue extending such support and cooperation in future also.
